Looking for some help from fellow club members. I was wondering if you might be able to talk to some of your employers about help sending a local player (ME) to the USDGC down in Rock Hill, SC in October. Just got word yesterday that I had won the KY rep spot for the tourney. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I plan to have some tourney polos made up with all the sponsor's names on the back to get them some advertisement.

First, Congrats!! Now I don't feel bad that you always whip our rears! Second I see what I can do. The problem is that we are in TN. Send me a little more info about how big the tourney is and I'll talk to my work - aka - Frito Lay. I would love to see some big sponsors get involved. Also, what exactly are you looking for in the way of sponsorship.

Thanks Oscar. As far as the tourney goes, it is by invite only where they bring best of the best together. No divisions, just pay your money and play your heart out. Last years winner took home 12k. This year they changed the format to a handicap system to where whoever shoots the highest average rounds above their rating. All the info on the tourney can be found at USDGC.COM I'm not sure how companies in TN would feel about helping the KY rep but maybe if you just said someone from our Tri- Cities club qualified might get a better response. In terms of sponsorship, the only thing I can think of is a monetary donation to help offset the costs of entry fee, hotel, gas, etc. I am talking to a few top pros to see how their sponsors help them out to get some better ideas. I will let u know if I find out anything useful. No matter how big or small, every little bit would help.
